Tips for Sellers:
Recycle, Refurbish, Reuse
Most of our sellers don't sell out of economic necessity. To the contrary: some people make an extra effort not to throw away outgrown clothes or phased out toys. Almost all of our sellers clean what they intend to sell beforehand and launder the clothes they put it up for sale. Many sellers bundle their items with the original manual or packaging. A lot of consideration goes into packing the bags that are ready to go.
It is much easier to go through your closet if you know there is a place where your giveaways will find new owners and make other kids happy.
It feels liberating to declutter and cleaning out is easier when one knows where the old stuff will go.
Just tossing the items that were once exciting and valuable -parenting books, your kids first scooter, an outgrown car seat- would make you feel guilty. But it is fun to swap baby- and kid-related items. It is nice to meet the new owners, to "talk accessories," and to explain the features of the stroller you have grown to know better than the professional sales person. And it feels good leaving the sale with the knowledge that your items will be just right for another family. At this moment the circle of recycling, refurbishing, and reusing closes and that's what our sales are all about.
